Peregrine Dubai Stopover

Dubai is a great place to break your journey on the way to or from the Middle East. In the 1950's it was a small trading port clustered around the mouth of the ‘Creek’, the city’s main waterway. Before that, it was not much more than a fishing village inhabited by members of the Bani Yas tribe, however its origins go back into the far more distant past. You enjoy an afternoon tour of the city, including a visit to the excellent Dubai Museum, housed in the Al Fahidi Fort. This contains a fine collection of both artefacts and interesting displays. Later you take a traditional 'abra' boatride across the Creek to explore the local markets before ending up at Gold Souk. The rest of your time is free to explore. www.peregrineadventures.com
