Emirates Golf Club

The Majlis Course

Emirates MajlisThe Majlis is the flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, it is a challenging par 72 with 7,185 yards. Sculptured around the original tall desert dunes, The Majlis was the first grass course in the Middle East and takes its name from the Arabic for ‘meeting place'.

One of it's most challenging holes is the par 4, 434 yard, dogleg 8th. It requires a long, well directed, uphill drive to leave a reasonable second shot to it's small, undulating green where the dreaded 3-putt is always a threat.

This ‘miracle in the desert' is home to hundreds of indigenous species of flora and fauna, beautifully complemented by meandering fairways and seven fresh and saltwater lakes.

The Majlis has developed a worthy reputation worldwide as a testing layout and is the favoured host venue for The Dubai Desert Classic, always proving popular, with the world's best players returning time after time

The Wadi Course

Emirates WadiEmirates Golf Club's second championship golf course was opened in 1996 and was named ‘The Wadi', from the Arabic for ‘valley', after the landscaped wadi between the 7th and 8th holes. Given the unenviable task of competing with The Majilis, The Wadi performs admirably and the average golfer is tempted by the space and large greens, cleverly protected by fourteen lakes and numerous bunkers. As with the Majilis it is another par 72 with a challenging layout, proving very popular locally and easily lures players to the excitement of its 7,107 yards

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Dubai CreekThe spectacular Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club complex combines an imaginatively designed golf course and yacht club.

The club's 18-hole, par 72, 6839-yard course is a championship grass course along well-groomed fairways with challenging water hazards. The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club Golf Academy was the first of its kind in the region, with a fully floodlit par 3, 4 and 5 practice holes and a nine-hole par 3 course, together with a hi-tech studio and double-ended, fully floodlit driving range with qualified PGA instructors.

Other sports and leisure facilities include a health club, tropical swimming pool, floodlit tennis courts and a separate yacht club with its own seafood restaurant and aquarium.

Nad Al Sheba Club

Nad Al ShebaSituated just 10 minutes from the city center and 15 minutes from the Jumeirah beach hotels, the Nad Al Sheba Club boasts the Middle East’s only fully floodlit 18 hole championship course.

Designed by Karl Litten with 10 lakes and more than 110 pot bunkers in the Scottish Links style, the 6,569 yard, par 71 course provides a particular challenge, with the emphasis on accuracy, not length.

An interesting feature is the fact that the back nine holes lie within the Nad Al Sheba horse racecourse - famous for hosting the Dubai World Cup, the worlds richest race meeting.

The Montgomerie Golf Club

Combining the course design traditions of truly great Scottish links courses, The Montgomerie Dubai is the new jewel of golf courses in the United Arab Emirates.

MontgomerieCovering more than two hundred acres, this spectacular golf course provides the player with undulating "links land" style fairways which challenge and intrigue all levels of player. Placement of the drive to the generous fairways remains the cornerstone of any good round. The flat landing area of each fairway can be challenging to find, but in the end a rewarding adventure.

With fourteen lakes and seventy two bunkers, The Montgomerie Dubai, this first example of the association between golfing great Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead adds a distinctive variety to the golfing landscape of the region. One of the signature hole designs, the par three thirteenth, boasts the largest single green in the world. With a total area of 58,000 sq feet - the equivalent of nine greens - its island green can be played from a 360 degree teeing ground giving the advantage of a totally different golf hole each time you play.

The putting surfaces of Flora dwarf Ultra Dwarf Bermuda grass compliment the undulating nature of the fairways with generous landing areas and challenging pin positions. The large green surfaces will not only test shot making ability, but the deft touch required for low scoring.

With such pedigree ingredients, the experience at The Montgomerie Dubai will add the garnish to the most extravagant golfing destination in the United Arab Emirates.

Jebel Ali Resort Course

Jebel AliThe Resort Course is a 9-hole par 36 championship standard course situated within the idyllic grounds of Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa. Designed by renowned Swiss architect Peter Harradine, the course is both scenically stunning and a fair and exciting challenge to any level of player. Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs, wooden gazebos and panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.A central salt water lake comes into play on five holes, while peacocks, partridges and guinea fowl all freely roam the course. The avaialbility of four tees creates different aspects and gives the opportunity to play each hole slightly differently, leading to an 18 hole Par 72 round.
