Dubai Resorts

A spectacular place to live in or just visit, Dubai is one of the seven states which make up the United Arab Emirates. Home to an exciting blend of expatriates from around the world, Dubai currently hosts a range of impressive developments. Among them, the most famous ones include the world’s biggest theme parks, the world’s largest shopping malls, the world’s tallest buildings, and the list could go on and on. A special place, however, is held by the Dubai resorts, which are like nothing else on earth. Madinat Jumeirah, the Palm Dubai Resort and the Al Maha Desert Resort are three unique developments which combine the height of opulence with a real sense of tradition.

Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat JumeirahDesigned to mimic an ancient Arabian citadel, Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort of Dubai was created as a tribute to Dubai’s heritage. The five-star resort is one of the biggest and most vibrant beach properties in Dubai, housing two grand boutique hotels with 867 Arabian-inspired rooms with balconies. This Dubai resort also has a network of courtyard summer houses, a vast shopping mall with 75 shops, a theater, an outdoor amphitheatre, and some 45 bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Al Qasr and Mina A’Salam, the two hotels of the Madinat Jumeirah Resort, communicate via man-made meandering waterways, and guests are transported on small boats known as abras. Madinat Jumeirah spares little expense on services and amenities, boasting the leading conference and banqueting centre in the region, unlimited recreational facilities, the Talise Spa, as well as the superlative Quay Healthclub. Apart from the 40 hectares of landscaping and gardens, Madinat Jumeirah Resort also has 1 km of private beach that connects with the neighboring Burj-al-Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Wild Wadi Water Park.

In its turn, The Palm Dubai Resort consists of the world’s three largest artificial islands, which are being built on the coast of the emirate along more than 120 km. Named “The Eighth Wonder of the World”, the project required four years of methodical planning. Together, the Palm Jumeirah and The Palm Jebel Ali Island Resorts will support more than 60 luxury hotels, 1,000 unique water homes, 5,000 shoreline apartments, 4,000 exclusive residential villas, as well as marinas, restaurants, shopping malls, health spas, cinemas, water theme parks, and various dive sites.

Madinat JumeirahThe third and the largest island resort featured in the Palm Dubai Resort project is the Palm Deira, which will have around 8,000 two-storey villas and town houses in three different styles: Vista Town Homes, Grand Villas, and Premier Villas. Besides residential property, the island will also include marinas, clubs, sports facilities, and shopping malls.

Dubai’s third famous resort is Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, set on 225 kilometers of desert, only 45 minutes from the city of Dubai. Designed to recreate a Bedouin encampment, Al Maha Resort offers an elegant lifestyle with comprehensive facilities for rest and relaxation or business activities. The Al Maha Desert Resort has 37 individual Bedouin Suites (75 square meters each), two Royal Suites of 175 square meters each, two Emirate Suites (375 square meters each), and a Presidential Suite of 530 square meters. The conference facilities include state-of-the-art online video conferencing and multimedia presentation equipment.

Offering relaxation and recreation in a single place, the Dubai resorts attract thousands of visitors for holidays or vacations and are a prominent example of modern tourism in Dubai. Madinat Jumeirah, The Palm Dubai Resort and Al Maha Desert Resort all provide convention and large meeting sites, together with ample accommodation options and varied dining and entertainment. Although such developments exist all over the world, Dubai resorts manage to attract an increasing number of visitors every year.
